At the collegiate level, while not having many colleges or universities actually located within Cherokee County, the centralized allows for easy access to the surrounding educational institutions. Reinhardt College and University is located 5 miles north of Canton in nearby Waleska, GA. Chattahoochee Technical College also has a campus 7 miles south of Canton in the neighboring city of Woodstock.
